How does this wheelchair taxi service work?
Our vehicles are basically designed to enable wheelchair users and senior citizens to safely enter / exit a vehicle while seated on a wheelchair. This is done with the help of a ramp or a hydraulic lift attached at the back of the vehicle (see gallery). Unlike an ambulance you don’t have to transfer from wheelchair to stretcher or vice-versa.

Does Harry’s wheelchair taxis only provide wheelchair taxis?
No, we do provide other taxis as well; however, we specialise in disability transport.

What types of taxis do you have?
a. Wheelchair Taxi b. Sedan taxi c. High Occupancy Taxi

What is the difference between a Wheelchair taxi, High Occupancy Taxi and Sedan Taxi?
Wheelchair taxi and High Occupancy Taxis are the same vehicle. Wheelchair taxis can take wheelchairs plus other passengers. High Occupancy Taxis can carry up to 10 passengers whereas regular Sedan taxis can carry up to 4 passengers.

How many wheelchairs can fit in one Vehicle?
A Wheelchair taxi can fit 2 wheelchair passengers plus 5 other passengers.

Do I need to book in advance or can I get a taxi at short Notice?
Planning and booking in advance provide the luxury of efficiency. We highly prefer advance bookings for our regular customers, it saves yourself some stress by planning your travel well before you leave. However, occasionally we can help on short notice. Do you provide Door to Door taxi service?
We do provide a reliable door to door taxi service for passengers who rely on a little additional support for mobility

Can we rely on your on-time service?
Yes, we are well known for our reliability and on-time service. you do not need to worry about being late for any of your appointments.

Do you have experienced drivers?
Yes, our drivers are Qualified, experienced and always ensure that the passenger arrives safely at their destination. Our wheelchair taxi drivers have been specifically trained to help people who might need more support, care, patience and understanding.

Do You accept MPTP Card?
Yes, we do accept Taxi Subsidy Scheme cards. While on board Passenger can pay the Driver directly with MPTP (Multi-Purpose Taxi Program) card.

Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept all cards in taxis however we are unable to process card payments over the phone call.

Can you invoice to my insurance or nominated organisation for my travel?
We are registered transport provider of NDIS, TAC, Workcover and many other organisations. Once we receive eligibility confirmation from the insurance provider, we will invoice them directly for your convenience.

What if I have lost something in your Taxi?
You can contact us as soon as possible. Our drivers are very responsible in taking care of your lost property.
